AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #83-02s SECTION 7: LONGEVITY PAY

WHEREAS Village Council has previously enacted Ordinance #83-02s pertaining to wages, salaries, fringe benefits and personnel policies for the various appointed officials and employees of the Village of Sebring; and

WHEREAS the Village Council recognizes that it would be administratively advantageous to coincide the distribution of the longevity pay with the distribution of the additional pay awarded for certificates and licenses held by Municipal employees.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SEBRING, MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO:

Section 1:        That Section 7: Longevity Pay of Ordinance #83-02s is hereby amended to read as follows:

Any employee who has full met the following requirements shall be granted an additional lump sum annual longevity payment to coincide and be distributed with the second pay period of November in each calendar year provided that employee has met all of the requirements by the November 1 of the calendar year for which the longevity annual payment shall be made.

            Section 2:        That this Ordinance shall not be construed to alter, affect, or amend any other section of Ordinance #83-02s.

Section 3:        That it is FOUND and DETERMINED that all formal actions of this Council relating to the passage of this Ordinance or adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council, and of any of its committees which resulted in such formal actions were made in compliance with all legal requirements, including those of section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code, all pursuant to Section 3.11 of the Charter of the Village of Sebring.
