A RESOLUTION DECLARING SUPPORT FOR
THE FAVORABLE PASSAGE OF THE
CONTINUATION OF A ½% SALES TAX
BY THE VOTERS OF MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO
IN THE F0RTHCOMING ELECTION ON MAY 8, 2007

WHEREAS, the Village Council has undertaken numerous projects with the assistance of the Board of Mahoning County Commissioners to improve the Village of Sebring; and,

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Mahoning County Ohio has placed on the May 8, 2007 ballot a continuation of an existing ½ % County Sales and Use Tax to fund county operations; and

WHEREAS, the Village Council recognizes the need for the continuation of the existing ½ % County Sales and Use Tax to provide for County programs and general operations; and,

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SEBRING, MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO:

 

SECTION 1:           That the Sebring Village Council does hereby support the continuation of the existing ½ % County Sales and Use Tax on the May 8, 2007 ballot to support the general operations of Mahoning County.

 

SECTION 2:  That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council relating to the passage of this Resolution were adopted in open meetings of this Council; and that all deliberations of this Council and its Committees, Boards and Commissions, is necessary, which resulted in such formal actions were made in compliance with all legal requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, pursuant to Section 3.11 of the Charter of the Municipality of Sebring, Ohio.
