A RESOLUTION HONORING JOHN W.K. FAHNERT FOR A LIMETIME OF PUBLIC SERVICE AND DEVOTION TO THE VILLAGE OF SEBRING

Whereas: John W.K. Fahnert, a lifetime resident of the Village of Sebring, has served with distinction as a Councilman from 1958 to 1971, Village Mayor from 1972 to 1975 and on the Planning and Zoning Board from 1980 to 2005; and

Whereas: John W.K. Fahnert, as Chairman of the Charter Commission in 1978 and 1979, served as the principle architect and guided the Commission through the establishment of the Village’s governing document.

Whereas: John W.K. Fahnert through forty-eight years of public service has sincerely given of his time and energy without consideration of reward or recompense for the betterment of all the citizens of Sebring; and

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SEBRING, MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO:

Section 1: That John W.K. Fahnert is hereby publicly honored and commended for his extraordinary devotion and commitment to his community, which owes a deep debt of gratitude for his willing service.

Section 2: That this Village Council does hereby publicly honor and commend John W.K. Fahnert for unselfishly giving of himself for the betterment of his community through a lifetime of public service and devotion.

Section 3: That this Resolution has been introduced by the unanimous consent of all Councilmembers and the Administration of the Municipality of Sebring with best wishes to him in all his future endeavors.
