A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE MUNICIPAL CLERK TO REQUEST THE COUNTY AUDITOR TO CERTIFY TO THE SEBRING VILLAGE COUNCIL THE CURRENT TAX VALUATION OF SEBRING AND THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE THAT WOULD BE GENERATED BY A ONE MILL TAX LEVY FOR THE OPERATION OF PARKS AND RECREATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS the Municipal Council has determined that the Municipality needs to raise an amount of revenue for the maintenance and operation of parks and recreation; and

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SEBRING, MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO:

Section 1: That the Mahoning County Auditor is hereby requested to certify to the Sebring Council the following:

a. The total current tax valuation of Sebring.
b. The dollar amount that would be generated by one mill

Section 2: That the purpose of the proposed tax levy shall be a one (1) mill levy pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5705.19(h) for a period of five (5) years.

Section 3: That it is FOUND and DETERMINED that all formal actions of this Council relating to the passage of this Ordinance or adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council, and of any of its committees which resulted in such formal actions were made in compliance with all legal requirements, including those of section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code, all pursuant to Section 3.11 of the Charter of the Village of Sebring.
