Resolution A RESOLUTION HONORING THE VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS POST #6730 UPON THE OCCASION OF ITS 60TH ANNIVERSARY Whereas: The Veterans of Foreign Wars has a rich tradition in enhancing the lives of millions through its community service programs and special projects and continues to be a strong voice for veterans and a catalyst for change in improving veteran’s benefits; and Whereas: The Sebring Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6730 was originally established on April 7, 1946 with 112 comrades signing the Charter and Lester Brendlinger serving as their first Commander; and Whereas: The Sebring Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6730, through its devotion to and benevolence towards fellow veterans and the community, exemplifies the VFW mission to “honor the dead by helping the living”. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SEBRING, MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO: Section 1: That the Sebring Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6730 is hereby publicly honored upon the occasion of its 60th Anniversary for its support of local veterans and continuing community service. Section 2: That Sebring recognizes the profound impact the Sebring Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6730 has had on Sebring and the surrounding community since its inception. Section 3: That this Resolution has been introduced by the unanimous consent of all Councilmembers, Mayor and the Administration of the Municipality of Sebring with the acknowledgement of generations of extraordinary achievements. THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED THIS 27th DAY OF MARCH, 2006
