A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING SMITH TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES’ REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL TRAFFIC SIGNAGE AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF BELOIT SNODES ROAD AND STATE ROUTE 14 and MIDDLETOWN ROAD AND 12TH STREET IN SMITH TOWNSHIP, MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO;

WHEREAS, the Trustees of Smith Township, Mahoning County, Ohio have submitted a Request for Additional Traffic Signage and Traffic Control Devices at the intersection of Beloit Snodes Road and State Route 14, and the intersection of Middletown Road and 12th Street in Smith Township, Mahoning County, Ohio due to traffic safety concerns; and

WHEREAS, the Council of Sebring, Ohio hereby supports Smith Township’s efforts and encourages favorable consideration of additional traffic signage and traffic control devices at the intersection of Beloit Snodes Road and State Route 14, and the intersection of Middletown Road and 12th Street in Smith Township, Mahoning County, Ohio for reasons of traffic safety.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SEBRING, MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: That the Council of the Municipality of Sebring, Ohio hereby supports the request of the Smith Township Trustees for additional traffic signage and traffic control devices to be installed at the intersection of Beloit Snodes Road and State Route 14, and the intersection of Middletown Road and 12th Street in Smith Township Ohio due to traffic safety concerns. Further, Sebring Council requests and encourages favorable consideration of Smith Township’s efforts to improve traffic safety at the intersection of Beloit Snodes Road and State Route 14, and Middletown Road and 12th Street in Smith Township, Mahoning County, Ohio.

Section 2: That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this council relating to the passage of this Resolution were adopted in open meetings of this Council; and that all deliberations of this Council and of any of its Committees; and of the Planning Commission, if necessary, which resulted in such formal actions were made in compliance with all legal requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, all pursuant of Section 3.11 of the Charter of the Municipality of Sebring.
