A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE MUNICIPAL CLERK
TO REQUEST THE COUNTY AUDITOR TO CERTIFY TO THE
SEBRING VILLAGE COUNCIL THE CURRENT TAX VALUATION
OF SEBRING AND THE DOLLAR AMOUNT OF REVENUE THAT
WOULD BE GENERATED BY A ONE/ HALF MILL RENEWAL TAX LEVY
FOR THE OPERATION OF PARKS AND RECREATION;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has determined that the Municipality needs to raise an amount of revenue for the operation and maintenance of Parks and Recreation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE MUNICPALITY OF SEBRING, MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO:

SECTION 1.  That the Mahoning County Auditor is hereby requested to certify to the Sebring Council the following:

            a.  The total current tax valuation of Sebring.
            b.  The dollar amount of revenue that would be generated by one/ half        (1/2) mill.    
                
SECTION 2.  That the purpose of the proposed tax levy shall be a renewal of an existing one/half (1/2) mill tax levy pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5705.19 (h) for a five (5) year period.

SECTION 3.  That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council relating to the passage of this Resolution were adopted in open meetings of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council and of any of its Committees; and of the Planning Commission, if necessary, which resulted in such formal actions were made in compliance with all legal requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, pursuant to Section 3.11 of the Charter of the Municipality of Sebring, Ohio.

SECTION 4.  That this Resolution is hereby declared an Emergency Measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the Municipality of Sebring, Mahoning County, Ohio and specifically for the continued operation and maintenance, wages, equipment, and expenses of the Municipal Swimming Pool.
