Resolution A RESOLUTION HONORING THE CROSS OF MALTA VFW POST #6730 LADIES AUXILIARY UPON THE OCCASION OF ITS 60TH ANNIVERSARY Whereas: The VFW Ladies Auxiliary , with over 600,000 members through-out the United States, Guam and Panama are committed to serving veterans and their families, promoting pride in America, teaching young people about the cost of freedom, and serving the community; and Whereas: The Cross of Malta VFW post #6730 Ladies Auxiliary was originally established on April 13, 1947 with 22 members signing the Charter and Frances Sanders serving as their first President; and Whereas: The Cross of Malta VFW post #6730 Ladies Auxiliary, through its support for the Michigan Veterans Home (housing the wives and children of veterans) and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, demonstrates its commitment to assist and serve the community. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SEBRING, MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO: Section 1: That the Cross of Malta VFW post #6730 Ladies Auxiliary is hereby publicly honored upon the occasion of its 60th Anniversary for its support of local veterans and their families and continuing community service. Section 2: That Sebring recognizes the profound impact the Cross of Malta VFW post #6730 Ladies Auxiliary has had on Sebring and the surrounding community since its inception. Section 3: That this Resolution has been introduced by the unanimous consent of all Councilmembers, Mayor and the Administration of the Municipality of Sebring with the acknowledgement of generations of extraordinary achievements. THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED THIS 26th DAY OF MARCH, 2007
