Resolution

A RESOLUTION HONORING THE SEBRING INTERDENOMINATIONAL HOLINESS CAMPMEETING UPON THE OCCASION OF THE 100th ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEDICATION OF THE TABERNACLE

Whereas:	In 1904 George E. Sebring donated the Maple Grove on Quaker Hill for the purpose of “preaching the full gospel to a lost world”; and
Whereas:	With Methodist minister Dr. G.F. Oliver delivering the Dedication Address, the Tabernacle was dedicated on July 9, 1906; and
Whereas:	The Sebring Holiness Campmeetings have been a consistent local source of spiritual edification and growth throughout the past one hundred years.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE MUNICIPALITY OF SEBRING, MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO:

Section:	That the Sebring Holiness Campmeeting is hereby publicly honored upon the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Tabernacle dedication.
Section 2:	That Sebring recognizes the profound religious impact the Sebring Holiness Campmeeting has had on Sebring and the surrounding community since its inception.
Section 3:	That this Resolution has been introduced by the unanimous consent of all Councilmembers, Mayor and the Administration of the Municipality of Sebring with the confidence that the second hundred years of Holiness Campmeeting are as successful as the first hundred.
