A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE CLERK OF COUNCIL TO CERTIFY THE COST OF BUILDING DEMOLITIONS TO THE MAHONING COUNTY AUDITOR FOR COLLECTION ON THE TAX DUPLICATE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the demolition of certain unsafe structures located within the Village of Sebring has been accomplished pursuant to Section 715.26 of the Revised Code of Ohio and Section 1341.03 of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Sebring; and

WHEREAS, the Village was obliged to expend the sum of EIGHT thousand FOUR hundred FIVE dollars AND EIGHTY FOUR ($8,405.84) for labor and materials to accomplish the same;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SEBRING, MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO:

Section 1:        That in accordance with Section 715.26 of the Ohio Revised Code, the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to certify to the Mahoning County Auditor said costs for collection on the tax duplicate according to law against said premises, to wit:

Section 2:        That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to forthwith deliver a certified copy of this resolution to the Mahoning County Auditor for assessment.

Section 3:        That this Resolution is hereby determined to be an EMERGENCY MEASURE, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the Village of Sebring, Ohio.

Section 4:        That it is FOUND and DETERMINED that all formal actions of this Council relating to the passage of this Resolution or adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council, and of any of its committees which resulted in such formal actions were made in compliance with all legal requirements, including those of section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code, all pursuant to Section 3.11 of the Charter of the Village of Sebring.
