A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE MUTUAL AID FIRE PROTECTION AGREEEMENT SPONSORED BY THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY FIREMEN’S ASSOCIATION, PURSUANT TO SECTION 9.60 OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE

WHEREAS the Columbiana County Firemen’s Association and the Columbiana County Township Trustee and Clerks Association have jointly sponsored the preparation of a Mutual Aid Agreement for additional fire protection; and

WHEREAS the Village Council deems it in the best interest of the citizens of Sebring to enter into such Mutual Aid Agreement;

WHEREAS said agreement is specifically authorized by virtue of Section 9.60 of the Ohio Revised Code.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SEBRING, MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO:

Section 1:        That the “Columbiana County Agreement for Mutual Aid for Additional Fire Protection”, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby adopted.

Section 2:        The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and instructed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Columbiana County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for appropriate distribution to all parties to said agreement.

Section 2:        That it is FOUND and DETERMINED that all formal actions of this Council relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council, and of any of its committees which resulted in such formal actions were made in compliance with all legal requirements, including those of section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code, all pursuant to Section 3.11 of the Charter of the Village of Sebring.
