A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SMITH TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR FIRE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL (EMT) SERVICES

WHEREAS the Village recognizes the mutual benefit in working with neighboring units of local government to provide necessary services; and  

WHEREAS the Village Council has previously approved agreements for the provision of fire and emergency medical (EMT) services with the Smith Township Board of Trustees; and

WHEREAS the Village Council finds it in the public interest to provide fire and emergency medical (EMT) services to the residents of Smith Township.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SEBRING, MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO:

Section 1:        That the Village Manager is hereby directed to enter into an agreement with Smith Township Trustees to provide fire and emergency medical (EMT) services as set forth in the attached agreement and identified as “Exhibit A”.

Section 2:        That it is FOUND and DETERMINED that all formal actions of this Council relating to the passage of this Ordinance or adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council, and of any of its committees which resulted in such formal actions were made in compliance with all legal requirements, including those of section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code, all pursuant to Section 3.11 of the Charter of the Village of Sebring.
